INSTRUCTIONS

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C. Spread 10 pieces of the toast bread in a single layer on a baking tray and bake until lightly toasted and a bit hard. You do not need to cut off the crust. When done, let them cool completely. Place chunks in a food processor and process until fine.

10 pieces yield to 180 g of bread crumbs, or 1 ¼ cups.

Transfer bread crumbs to an airtight container to avoid natural moisture in the air that will stale the bread crumbs too quickly. Stored at room temperature, they will last for up to 1 month, or up to 3 months if frozen.

Add some savory seasonings and dried herbs to your bread crumbs. You can add italian seasoning, herbes de Provences, garlic powder .. Experiment with fun combinations.

Bread crumbs add an extra layer of texture to any dish. Use them as a crunchy topping, coating, or mix-in for dishes.

Bon Appétit!
